Anthropic chief executive Dario Amodei said on Saturday that the artificial-intelligence industry should slow the pace of development so that safety measures can catch up. He warned that, without such a pause, AI could within six to 12 months become capable of leading a swarm that could take over the entire internet, among other risks.In a post on his website, Amodei set out a plan to tighten checks on the industry.
