China.com Inc. (8006), an 81%-owned subsidiary of CDC Corporation (CHINA), announced its financial results under HK GAAP for the second quarter ending June 30, 2005.

China.com continued profitability on turnover of HK$87 million, up 16% as compared to Q1 2005.

In new business development, the company saw strong market reception to its latest online game "Yulgang", operated by its subsidiary, 17game. Following the successful April 2005 open beta test, the game was commercially launched in mid-July. As of the company's announcement, its peak concurrent users and registered users exceeded 160,000 and 6 million, respectively.

The company's mobile value-added-services (MVAS) business continued to show improvement in Q2 2005 with an 18% increase in MVAS total revenue over Q1 this year. Despite the tightened regulatory measures, including the requirement for double confirmation on the WAP platform implemented by the mobile network operators, the revenue from the MVAS segment recorded growth.

Rudy Chan, CEO of China.com Inc. said, "We are glad to have achieved another quarter of sustained profitability. The first half-year of 2005 marked a period of positive change and transformation for China.com Inc, following the change of company name to reflect our business focus. The exclusive partnerships with leading EPL clubs and remarkable achievements in online game performance has been exciting developments for the Company."
