Heartbreak as 'icon' from Scouse institution dies

People were heartbroken after an "icon" from one of the city's oldest Chinese restaurants died. Dog MeiMei was often seen sitting outside Yuet Ben on Upper Duke Street - her owner's restaurant. People in the city centre would often take a moment to stroke and say hello to the Chow Chow. Owner Terry Lim broke the news on social media that MeiMei died at 5.25pm on November 17, 2022 aged 13.
