A team of eiStream, Inc. executives is touring Asia after a series of contracts — totaling more than US$1 million — for implementing the company's imaging and workflow technology in some of the region's leading banking and insurance organizations.
Led by eiStream Chairman and Chief Executive Officer William Oates, the eiStream team is visiting, among others, company officials of the Bank of China and New China Life Insurance Co., both in Beijing.
PCCW-business Solution (now known as Unihub), a leading Asian (IT) services provider, is installing eiStream WMS for the Bank of China for its credit card services implementation. PCCW localized the eiStream WMS imaging and workflow solution for the bank to use in processing credit card applications.
"To facilitate its credit card application processing, the Bank of China needs a flexible, effective solution that is able to integrate information from a wide variety of sources. eiStream WMS helps bridge that technology gap while providing leading-edge imaging and workflow technology," Oates said.
Meanwhile, New China Life Insurance Co., the fourth largest insurer in China, is implementing eiStream WMS through a partnership with Longwing Technologies, Inc, which is updating New China Life's systems to convert underwriting to an electronic workflow process with eiStream WMS Web Desk andJAL applications.
"Longwing is enhancing New China Life's work processes to address the increasing volume of insurance applications. eiStream WMS technology is adapting JAVA applications to Microsoft servers, resulting in enhanced efficiency and improved customer service," Oates said.
