Destinator Technologies has launched three personal navigation products for Smartphone, PDA, Pocket PC and automotive terminals in China. The Destinator SP (Smartphone) for Smartphones, Destinator PN (Personal Navigation) for Pocket PCs, and Destinator ND (Navigation Device) for on-board applications are aimed at business and leisure travelers.

Map data used in each product is provided by Shanghai's Nav Information Technologies (Nav2). The company is a joint venture invested by US-based Navteq and Navinfo, the first Chinese company licensed by the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping (SBSM) to provide map data for commercial use.

To enhance service and support for Chinese customers, Destinator Technologies will launch a Chinese website and online community at www.destinatortechnologies.cn. Map information will be updated every six months and provide maps of more than 30 countries in four continents for travelers using the devices abroad.

Destinator PNS applications are currently available on Dopod, Lenovo, Asus, Eten, and Daxian devices. The company says more navigation-enabled mobile devices will be available in the future.
