January 9, 2007
Editorial Staff

Lenovo released the first of its Windows Vista computers in Beijing today.

A representative from Lenovo says that they choose January 9, which is 21 days ahead of the formal release of family-focused Vista, to release the computer to seize an advantageous position for itself in the market.

Chen Shaopeng, global senior vice president of Lenovo and CEO of Lenovo China, presided over the release ceremony. Chen said Vista will bring them more opportunities for their PC sales on the Mainland.

Analysts say that with the competition within the PC market growing fiercer, Vista will become one of the biggest highlights of the PC market in 2007.
