Rocket Software OSS Unit (formerly TCSI Corp.), a global provider of Service and Network Management Solutions, today announced that it has been awarded a new contract to deliver phase IV of the Customer Network Management System (CNMS) to Shanghai Telecom, a subsidiary of China Telecom Corporation.

The contract was awarded based on Rocket Software's successful implementation of the previous three phases of the project, which has provided automation of key customer-network and service-management functions since 1999. Integration will be completed by Rocket Software (Beijing) Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary created by Rocket Software in February 2004.

The third contract, completed in 2003, allowed Shanghai Telecom to offer Service Level Agreements to its wireless customers. The fourth phase of CNMS, to be deployed this year, expands Shanghai Telecom's ability to monitor its systems through advanced graphic reports and real-time alarm correlation. At the heart of the new offering are the Visionary and OpenKBM products developed by Rocket Software.
