September 22, 2005
Editorial Staff

The RFID ISO/IEC 18000 standards will be included in China's national standards plan of 2005 and then transformed to a national standard by two major drafters of the standard–the Article Numbering Center of China (ANCC) and the Electronic Industry Standardization Institute of the Ministry of Information Industry (MII).

ISO/IEC 18000 is a series of worldwide standards being created by ISO/IEC/JTC 1/SC31/WG4/SG3.

Automatic Identification Manufacture Association of China will participate in the drafting of the standard and should complete the work in 2006.
