TCL Multimedia CFO Yuan Bing Resigns

TCL Multimedia, a subsidiary of the Chinese electronics maker TCL, announced that Yuan Bing, executive director and chief financial officer, will depart from the positions for health reasons and the personnel change will go into effect from January 1, 2009.

Yuan was appointed as CFO for TCL Multimedia on June 20, 2008. Graduating from Shanxi University of Finance & Economics, Yuan joined TCL in 1999. From September 2000 to January 2002, Yuan was finance manager for TCL Multimedia. From October 12, 2006, Yuan became executive director for TCL Multimedia.

In January 2009, TCL Communication's non-executive director Huang Xubin will replace Yuan as executive director and Yuan Yi, current finance director of the company, will be the new CFO.

Huang, 43, joined the TCL Group in March 2001 as director general and general manager for TCL Group's financial settlement department. In June 2004, Huang was appointed general economic engineer for TCL Group and in July 2007 he became a member of the executive committee of the group.
