We already know almost everything about Intel’s 12th generation processors, and all the leaks so far will be confirmed or denied any day. Currently, more feelings are being stirred up by information about motherboards with the Intel Z690 chipset and DDR5 RAM modules, which will form the basis of the platform with Intel Alder Lake modules. A lot of people, aside from performance, are interested in price as well – it can be a major factor in deciding whether it’s worth replacing your currently owned computer set. So far, MSI’s base display prices have appeared on the web, and they haven’t been cheap at all. Unfortunately, ASRock Wallet seems to confirm that Z690 motherboards will be expensive.

ASRock motherboards with the Z690 chipset will cost from 949 to 3,439 zlotys in Europe. Adding in the prices of DDR5 RAM modules, it can be safely said that the new platform will be very expensive.

[Intel Alder Lake-S – processors began to appear in the first US stores, but it is difficult to talk about low prices]

Already known to PurePC readers, he is a foreign PC enthusiast and searches many no results and stores under the nickname momomo_us has shared his latest finds with the world. He found prices for eight different ASRock motherboards at Amazon UK, which are based on the LGA 1700 socket and the Intel Z690 chipset intended for the upcoming Intel Alder Lake processors. We are talking about the main representatives of the Phantom Gaming series with support for DDR4 or DDR5 memory, the STEEL LEGEND, the Extreme family, and the top model TAICHI. Unfortunately, all of them are relatively expensive.

[MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 – The motherboard has already appeared in the store. It is significantly more expensive than the previous generation]

Amazon offers product cards for ASRock Z690 motherboards such as:

– ASRock Z690 TAICHI (DDR5) – £628, or about 3,439 PLN

– ASRock Z690 PG Speed (DDR5) – 485 GBP or about 2,509 PLN

– ASRock Z690 EXTREME (DDR5) – 306 pounds sterling or about 1675 PLN

– ASRock Z690 STEEL LEGEND (DDR4) – £281 or about 1539 PLN

– ASRock Z690 PG Riptide (DDR4) – 214 pounds or about 1,319 PLN

– ASRock Z690 Phantom Gaming 4 / D5 (DDR4) – 207 GBP or about 1135 PLN

– ASRock Z690 Phantom Gaming 4 (DDR4) – 214 pounds or about 1175 PLN

– ASRock Z690 Phantom Gaming 4 (DDR4) – 173 pounds or about 949 PLN

This confirms previous assumptions based on the pre-release price of the competing MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 model, that new motherboards will be significantly more expensive than the previous generation. Combined with the high price of DDR5 RAM modules and the fact that ASRock is usually cheaper than offerings from companies like ASUS, MSI or GIGABYTE, the Prime Minister is gearing up for a very expensive module. And if someone does not yet have a relatively modern and efficient graphics card, they may already be thinking about selling their kidney or looking for a loan.
