Lenovo Group has published a corporate social responsibility report, which is said to be the second annual CSR report for the company.

Compared with the last report, the new one has added such issues as responsibility focus and key performance data of 2008.

Du Jianhua, vice president of Lenovo, told local media that the company would continue to invest in the public welfare sector and improve the content of its CSR report.

Chen Shaopeng, senior vice president of Lenovo, stated that the company has been trying to release a CSR report since the last fiscal year and by doing so, the company wants to know how it can do better instead of merely telling people what the company has done.

The report shows that in the past year, Lenovo popularized computer knowledge to 20 million users in the rural areas in China and further improved its environmental management system. The company says that it will increase its carbon efficiency by 10% in the 2012-2013 year.
